Out of Lockdown

As any Covid cautious people would do prior to the vaccine being available, Jacob and Laura began their acquaintance online. (Jacob will give details when asked, Laura on the other hand...) The two decided they were eager to meet as soon as their vaccines were effective.

Discovering It Was Love

Jacob has a different perspective. Thanks to the that advice he received, his mind crystalized around the fact that he really loved Laura before he arrived in Ohio. However, throughout their history, Laura had mentioned several times that her parents had gotten engaged after 3 months of dating and expressed disbelief about how fast that was. This led Jacob to resolve not to say it until she said something, so as not to move too fast. The time in Ohio was spent trying to offer support and coaxing Laura to "just drink a little water." After a very emotional trip, it was the hour for him to leave to get back to Maryland when Laura said "I love you." It was a surprise to say the least, a very pleasant surprise, but a surprise nevertheless. Surprise doesn't exactly lead to the best responses, but they were able to spend some time talking about their shared love before he departed.

Just Another Walk by the Lake

The couple was planning to visit Ohio for Christmas, and Jacob had been planning to ask her father for permission to marry Laura. However, Covid for the holidays was not part of the plan. Jacob decided to buy the ring anyway and sat on it until he could ask her father's permission in person. Meanwhile, Laura started to mention her lack of ring whenever they talked about their future plans together (mostly when asked by others).&nbsp;

Fast forward to Spring break 2022: 

And the Adventure Continues

Jacob and Laura have spent the last year and a half adventuring, getting to know each other better, and spoiling their dog, Beau. The couple loves spending quality time together and experiencing new things. Some of their favorite adventures include hiking, kayaking, playing in the snow, swimming, and attempting to cook together. Jacob and Laura are so excited to be celebrating their love with you in May!

Kayla Reynolds - Matron of Honor

How it started

Kayla met the bride after college as two bright eyed new elementary school teachers. In a large group of new teachers, the two hit it off immediately. Laura could often be found in Kayla's room after school brainstorming new ideas and commiserating over difficult days. When Kayla left teaching to focus on her family, she and Laura maintained their friendship with many phone calls, dinners, and lots and lots of advice. Laura notes that Kayla is one of the first people she calls when she needs sound advice, because Kayla is always wise, truthful, and doesn't just tell her what she wants to hear. Kayla is one of the most selfless and caring friends Laura could ever have.&nbsp;

Beautiful vineyard with 4 suites (all with hot tubs!). We actually considered it as a venue! It is the closest accomodations to the venue. Only four rooms so it does fill up fast.

Enjoy a walk along the beach, search for sea glass, or go for a swim at Conneaut Township Park and beach. Bring your kids to Laura's favorite playground and check out the unique Conneaut swings. (Adults can enjoy these swings too!)

Jacob and Laura recently discovered this restaurant in Conneaut and highly recommend the unique atmosphere and great food! Try the fish sandwich! You won't be disappointed!

Enjoy the taste of local wine at this cute Winery or stay as a guest at the B&amp;B!
