There's a lot to do in every neighborhood in Los Angeles. Here are my ("our") opinions:

-The beaches in Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice and Manhattan Beach will be busy but should be nice in June. You can rent bikes and ride along the bike path all the way down to the different beaches. I've never done that but it sounds nice to recommend it like I have. Something I have done and loved is Beach Yoga With Brad, a yoga class on Santa Monica beach that takes place every weekend morning (and at sunset some weeknights). It's just $15 and you don't need to reserve it, just show up with a towel. Sometimes you see dolphins.

-There are a ton of nice hikes which you can probably google. If you've never been to LA before, the hike behind the Hollywood sign is a fun one for pictures. Afterward you can drive to Griffith Observatory or go see a comedian you recognize from a commercial at UCB.

-I love a good tour of the stars' homes, but the TMZ Tour should be avoided at all costs. AT ALL COSTS. Take any other tour and don't pay sticker price for it.

-Hollywood Blvd. is seedy and should be tolerated only long enough to see Grauman's Chinese Theater and the famous handprints. Take your picture with the people in homemade superhero costumes outside of the theater, tip them, then leave.

-West Hollywood is nice and where you should run to after leaving Hollywood as fast as possible. Lots of restaurants along 3rd street - check out The Grove or the (under renovation) Beverly Center for shopping. I also really like driving through the Sunset Strip because I was not raised in L.A. so I'm not yet jaded by its magic. If you're staying through Sunday night, you should consider Drag Queen Bingo at Hamburger Mary's.

-Beverly Hills is a place you may want to see if you like men who get their self esteem from parking their expensive cars in front of expensive stores.

-Downtown has a tall building with a slide in it. Little Tokyo, which is downtown, has two cool breweries very close to each other with a lot of neat food places in between: Angel City Brewery and Arts District Brewing (this one has Skee Ball).

-Disneyland is 45 minutes away.
