Carson Interpretive Trail ( .92 miles, Easy, Loop Trail)
The Carson Trail is a one-mile, mostly level path with a gravel or boardwalk surface. Take a Trail Guide from the brochure box at the trailhead kiosk to read about the 11 interpretive stops along the way. The looped path will bring you back to the parking lot. Along the way it passes through coastal forests and offers view of one of southern Maine's most valuable ecosystems--the salt marsh . At some of the numbered stops benches are provided for resting, observing wildlife or to take time to read the descriptions from the Trail Guide. The Carson Trail is accessible to wheelchairs and strollers; no bicycles please. Pets must be on a leash.
