Is anything happening on Friday, August 25th?

Yes! There will be a rehearsal dinner for the Wedding Party followed by a drinks reception for all guests at the Bar at the Rams Head Inn. Beer & wine open bar from 8:30-9:30 at the Inn - everyone is welcome.

Do we need to stay on Shelter Island?

While guests staying on the island will have the easiest time traveling to and from the festivities, there are also many options on the North and South Fork. A ferry runs regularly from Shelter Island to Greenport and Sag Harbor, so staying in or near one of those towns would be a convenient option.

How do we get to Shelter Island?

If you are local, you can drive (through either Greenport or North Haven), take a Hampton's Jitney (to Greenport), or take the train (LIRR to Greenport). Once at North Haven or Greenport, a ferry will take pedestrians and cars over to the island. After crossing, you can engage the local taxi company or drive yourself to accommodations. If you are from far away, fly to any of the NYC airports. From there, you can rent a car or take public transportation as described above. See below for information regarding the ferries.

Do we need to take a boat to the island?

Yes! The North Ferry and the South Ferry runs every 10-20 minutes, but be mindful of ferry schedules if planning to travel off island at night. Ferry service does not run 24 hours, and the North and South Ferries have different schedules/cutoffs. On Friday & Saturday, the South Ferry’s last boat to North Haven is at 1:45AM and the North Ferry’s last boat to Greenport is 12:45 AM. The ferries only accept cash, and there are no reservations. Please check the schedule to be sure.

How do we get around on Shelter Island?

Once on the island, cars are recommended. There is a taxi company, but service can be limited by demand during the high season. Biking is a fun way to see the island during the day. We will have a shuttle(s) available to transport guests staying on the island to and from the wedding festivities.

Do you have a registry?

No. The most important thing to us is that you are able to celebrate with us on our wedding day, and your presence at our wedding is gift enough. Should you wish to give a gift as well, a cash gift would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a hash tag #?

Yes! Please tag any wedding-related posts with our hashtag #Laureff

Are children welcome at the wedding?

While we love children (especially yours!), this celebration is for adults only.
