An Abridged History of Laura and Jeff

Laura and Jeff first crossed paths at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Despite having common friends, they did not get to know each other very well during college. Although legend has it that they once shared a kiss at Emory's own shopping center dive, Maggies, their story was fated to continue long after graduation. Fast forward eleven years after Emory. Laura and Jeff both live in Manhattan. While Laura worked as a corporate attorney at an investment firm, Jeff studied law. After spotting Laura on Tinder, Jeff struck up a conversation. Both were surprised by how they connected on their first date. After hours of laughing and catching-up about old friends at the Greek in Tribeca, they quickly realized they shared a unique compatibility and that spending time together brought them a childlike joy. A few days later, Jeff planned to invite some friends, including one of his best men, Alex, to the city for New Years Eve. He invited Laura to join the gang and they spent their second date with the group. They laughed so much at dinner, it caused a disturbance. Laura and Jeff quickly fell in love and spent the next few years enjoying each other's company, exploring the city’s restaurants, and traveling the world together. Both having a strong sense of adventure, Jeff and Laura enjoyed finding new things to do together. Jeff taught Laura how to ski and Laura taught Jeff how to attempt to do yoga. During the pandemic they moved from the city to Old Brookville. Despite Jeff’s solemn promise to escape suburban life, they decided that with each other's company, they could have fun anywhere, even on Long Island.&nbsp; In May of 2022, Laura and Jeff planned a long weekend to Savannah Georgia for Memorial Day. Little did Laura know, Jeff had devised a plan to surprise Laura with the gift of himself, forever. Jeff suspected, but couldn't be sure, that she would answer “yes.” When she did, they spent the weekend celebrating, and in fact have been celebrating ever since. We can’t wait to celebrate our love with you. See you in August!
