It all started when Brian swept Laura off her feet...quite literally when he pulled her up to the billiard table to dance at Pachinko's, a local watering hole at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, the couple's alma mater. Many thanks to their mutual comrade, Doug Gallow, for introducing Laura and Brian.

Their romance was serious. But how serious? The distance over summer break made the answer all too obvious; Laura - emboldened by a night on the town in Baltimore- had to be sure. At three in the morning she phoned Brian, who having turned in early this particular evening awoke from a deep sleep to answer the call.

"So, are we dating?" Laura asked; her vulnerability laid bare. Brian replied with a simple and sober, "Huhuh, yeah babe."

Shortly thereafter, Brian visited Laura and met the family in the "Port" (her hometown of Baltimore) in 2008. The rest is history.

They lived in bliss as the two became inseparable during their college years. There were POP parties (pants-off parties, boxers included) with friends, nights eating at la Mia Cucina, and marathon Jurassic Park sessions.

Now, Laura and Brian live and work in the Washington DC area. They enjoy hiking, volunteering with animals, and exploring local history sites (no reenactments yet!). They also love the beach, summering in Ocean City, NJ where Brian proposed on a morning sunrise walk (only after Brian mean-mugged a family into leaving the area). This dynamic duo celebrated with a boardwalk bike ride and donuts at Brown's Restaurant, an Ocean City tradition!
