Alex met Laura in the fall of 2011 while they were both living in Shilling Hall as freshmen at Western Michigan University. After a few weeks of seeing each other from afar and asking about one another in their group of mutual friends, Alex finally got the chance to introduce himself to Laura while she was sitting at the picnic table outside their dorm on a sunny November day.

Their first “date” consisted of sitting in Laura’s car for hours, talking and showing each other music. Ever since that afternoon, they have been completely smitten with one another. When they met at 18, they had no idea what the years would bring, but they knew they pictured spending them together.

In January of 2022, Alex and Laura spent their 10th anniversary in Honolulu, Hawaii, celebrating the incredible decade they spent together by exploring waterfalls, hiking up to a beautiful lighthouse, whale watching, and hours of swimming in the ocean. As they were having dinner on the beach that night, Laura turned to find Alex on one knee…

At last! Laura and Alex are tying the knot and they could not be more thrilled to celebrate with all of their loved ones!
