Hermann Park is across the street from our old apartment complex, where we first met. Hermann Park is one of Houston's many parks with lots of greenery and trees. Inside of Hermann Park you will also find the McGovern Centennial Gardens, which have many beautiful flowers and plants sprouting during spring time.
One of our favorite places to hangout and have a drink with friends. One of Houston's best known breweries, which offers a fantastic outdoor space, perfect for watching the Astros play!
One of our favorite Tex-Mex restaurants in our area! A must if you are coming from out of state. We recommend a house margarita and the quesadillas or tacos.
Another one of Houston's many parks. Buffalo Bayou park sits along the bayou (obviously), and has many trails that spread throughout the west side of the city. On a nice day you will see people out running along the trails, walking their dogs, having a picnic, or playing sand volleyball. Throughout this park you will have a beautiful view of the Houston Skyline. This is also where we got engaged :)
A Louisiana bar out in the heights that we love to go to during crawfish season! Crawfish season is usually from March - May, and lucky for you you'll be here during peak season! Order by the pound, add all the fixings, and get a cold beer. We highly recommend!!
One of our all-time favorite restaurants! This was the spot of our first nice "outside" date nights during covid. If you love sushi you need to go here. They specialize in handrolls and sashimi. This restaurant sits inside an old house in the heights, and offers an intimate dining experience. Perfect for small parties of 2-4. Make reservations before!
One of our favorite places to grab pizza! We recommend the cinque formaggi or the fancy backpacker!
One of our favorite places to grab a late night sweet treat! One of Houston's most successful bakeries, who specialize in delicious cakes and desserts. Our favorite is the carrot cake :)
This outstanding science museum has a spectacular collection of mineral specimens, a dinosaur skeleton, space-station models, a planetarium, IMAX theater and a six-story butterfly center in which these beautiful creatures land delicately on outstretched arms.
