It was the summer of 2015, and Chris was working at the local golf course with his best friend, who happened to have his sights set on Lauren's friend. In a classic twist of fate, Chris and Lauren were recruited as emotional support to help navigate the inevitable awkwardness of that first date. While their friends' summer romance eventually fizzled, Chris and Lauren's only deepened. They were destined to follow in the footsteps of Lauren's parents and become high school sweethearts. On August 15, 2015 Chris officially asked Lauren to be his girlfriend.

Since that pivotal moment, they have shared countless milestones together. They have danced through 2 proms, navigated 6 years of long-distance, made unforgettable memories at sorority formals, spent countless hours on the golf course, celebrated earning a combined six diplomas, and embarked on a new chapter together in Washington, DC.
