Q + A

When should I RSVP by?

Kindly RSVP by March 15th, 2026.

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

We know that you will look amazing in anything. However, our wedding is a formal, black tie encouraged affair. We prefer that men wear a tuxedo or a dark suit and tie and women wear an evening full length gown in Spring inspired colors. Please refer to the Dress Code Inspiration tab for more details. Also, please note our wedding is outdoors, please be conscious of your heel choice. We recommend block heels.

What time should guests arrive at the venue?

We kindly ask that guests arrive no later than 4:00 as the ceremony will begin promptly.

How should guests travel to the venue?

The Governor Thomas Bennett House is conveniently located in downtown Charleston. Guests can drive themselves as parking is available onsite, procure a rideshare service (Uber/Lyft), or walk, dependent upon their selected overnight accommodations.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Yes! There is a parking lot directly next door to the Thomas Bennett House that will be available for all guests to park in. We highly encourage you to take an Uber or Lyft at the end of the night and travel back for your vehicle in the morning.

Where should guests sit at the ceremony?

Our ceremony will be open seating. Please feel free to pick a seat on either side, as you are loved by both the bride and groom combined. However, there will be assigned seating for the reception as dinner is plated.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We understand the excitement, but we kindly request that guests be fully present and unplugged during our ceremony. Please no personal phones or videos during our ceremony.

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

Yes, rooms have been blocked at Courtyard Waterfront, and Charleston Marriott. Please see the Travel tab for more details.

Can I bring a date?

Due to the size limitations of the venue, we cannot extend a plus one to all guests, please refer to your invitation for details, but we are so excited to have you attend our special day!

What time will the reception end?

Guests will send the Bride and Groom off at 10:00 sharply.

What are your registry details?

Your presence at our wedding is present enough! However, for family and friends who have expressed an interest, we have created an online registry. Please see the Registry tab for details.

What will the weather be like?

Please plan for a southern spring. May temperatures in Charleston average between 69 and 79 degrees. The Ceremony and Reception will take place outdoors, with an indoor Cocktail Hour.

Do you have recommendations for how to spend the weekend in Charleston?

Of course! Charleston is a destination you do not want to miss. Please see the Things to Do tab for details.

Are children welcome at the wedding?

While we love your little ones, due to space constraints we are unable to accommodate children. To help your enjoy a date night out, we recommend Annie's Nannies, ideally reserving three weeks in advance to ensure availability.
