How should I get to the wedding?
Our reception venue is a 2-minute walk down a hill from the ceremony venue. Parking is available near the venues if you choose to drive; we recommend ride-sharing and carpooling. If you're wearing your walking shoes and want to explore the park on your way to the wedding, you can get from the Marina District to our venue on foot in about 30 minutes.
If I drive, what is the parking situation?
Parking is available in the lots next to the Presidio Chapel and Golden Gate Club and costs $3 per hour until 6 PM. We suggest ride-sharing and carpooling to avoid drinking and driving!
If I am traveling from out of town, when should I arrive?
To kick off the weekend, all of our guests are invited to a welcome dinner the Friday evening before our wedding. The party begins at 6:30 PM, but don't worry if your travel or work schedule means you need to arrive a little late. The welcome dinner is more casual than the wedding - just a chance to catch up with friends and family, and a "thank you" for spending the weekend with us!
What should I wear to the wedding?
Cocktail attire. Break out a suit, a nice dress, a coat and tie, or something that makes you feel equally formal and comfortable for dancing! You can leave tuxedos and floor-length gowns to the wedding party.
Is there a block of hotel rooms?
Because San Francisco has so many options for lodging, we are not asking our guests to stay in one particular hotel. Our "Travel" page includes some recommendations for places to stay. We suggest staying near to the Presidio, where all of our events will be.
I am checking out of my hotel Sunday morning. Should I bring my luggage to the picnic?
Yes, feel free to bring your suitcase to the picnic! Please do not leave any suitcases, backpacks, or other items visible inside of a parked car. We don’t want your things to be stolen, and car break-ins are unfortunately a common occurrence.
A Note About Warm Layers
Mark Twain once said, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." Most of our wedding events will be indoors, but our venue does have some lovely outdoor spaces! Remember to bring a warm sweater or jacket in case we have a foggy day.
Check back later for more details
Our wedding is still a work in progress! We will post more information here about the day’s events, our registry, and how to RSVP as we get closer to the date.
COVID-19 Safety
We know that the vast majority (likely all) of our guests are fully vaxed! We ask that all attendees be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or take an antigen test within 24 hours of our wedding. If you are sick, we will be sad to miss you but ask that you please stay home to avoid spreading any illness. We appreciate you helping to make our wedding safe for our elderly and immunocompromised loved ones!
