From museums and landmarks to gardens and trails, Golden Gate Park is a lovely place to spend the day. Here are some of our favorite attractions and activities in the park:
-Stop by the Conservatory of Flowers
-Explore the California Academy of Sciences
-Visit the DeYoung Museum
-Walk around Stowe Lake and Strawberry Hill
-Say hello to the bison!
You can catch an amazing view from almost anywhere in hilly San Francisco, but these are a few of our favorites:
Try one of our favorite spots for breakfast in the city!
Sit-Down:
- Boogaloos (Mission District): delicious brunch with Southwestern flair (pictured above)
- Hong Kong Lounge (Richmond District): dim sum made fresh with easy ordering (and clear demarcation of vegetarian options!)
Grab + Go:
-Devil's Teeth Bakery (Outer Sunset or Richmond District): we recommend the breakfast sandwich!
-Mongkok Dim Sum: bring cash and order at the counter. Lauren recommends the shumai, har gow, steamed pork buns, sticky rice, and coconut-covered mochi rolls.
Baked Goods + Coffee:
-Tartine (Inner Sunset or Mission): award-winning bakery known for its bread and pastries
-Arizmendi (Inner Sunset): worker-owned cooperative bakery with locations around the bay. Grab their daily variety of veggie pizza and enjoy it in the park! We love their baked goods, including the corn-cherry scone, sourdough cheese roll, and apple-cranberry muffin.
