Additional info:
Lewis & Clark is proud to deliver a Jackson Hole-worthy outdoor experience. Since 1971, we've offered Snake River Canyon Whitewater Trips southwest of Jackson Hole. We've guided families with six-year-olds, groups, grandparents, honeymooners, scouts, locals, and thrill-seekers. We specialize in novice rafters and have expert outdoor guides.

Our guided paddle rafts take you through famous rapids including Lunch Counter, Big Kahuna, and Champagne. Launching at West Table and taking out at Sheep Gulch takes 3–4 hours round-trip from our town office. Calm stretches and swimming opportunities accompany eight miles of Class II and III rapids.

Our class II and III run is perfect for adventurers and families with beginners. Choose our Classic Raft for group or family fun, which is great for novices.

What to Wear -
Sunscreen
Sunglasses with ‘chums’ or ‘croakies’
Fast drying clothes
Synthetic fabrics
Bathing suit
Shoes that STAY ON YOUR FEET (no crocs or flip flops)
Towel/Dry cloths for post trip comfort
What we provide
On your whitewater trip you will be provided with a coated nylon splash jacket when you arrive at the river, as well as a life jacket. No helmets are required for the Snake as it is a class III clear channel river.
As a foundation, bathing suits are almost always the best place to start. We provide, free of charge, and splash jackets with hoods to help keep you dry. Do not wear heavy cotton clothing such as blue jeans or sweat pants and tops. When cotton gets wet it loses its insulation value. On warm, sunny days a bathing suit and t-shirt may be all you’ll need. If it is cooler, you’ll want to add synthetic layers like capilene or polypropylene or even polyester and nylon. Wool is also acceptable. Most long winter underwear is suitable as well. If you have polar fleece or polartec clothing, bring it! Wetsuits and wetsuit booties are available for rent. Wetsuit rentals are $9.00 and booties are $5.00. If you rent both, it’s only $11.00. There may be situations where we’ll require you to rent a wetsuit due to conditions. You are encouraged to bring along a towel and some dry clothes to be left on the bus for the return trip.
SATURDAY:
We will be horseback riding at Teton Village Trail Rides with a start time of 8 AM.
Chad Madsen, his family and crew take pride in providing the highest quality equine for any level rider, putting guest safety and experience above all. Having grown up on the wagon train, surrounded by the guest ranch industry most of his life, Chad has a vast understanding and a lifetime of knowledge not only with the horses, but the people involved in the trade. With a herd of over 2,500 head, we have horses to accommodate all types of wants and needs from slow and steady husband horses, gentle kids' horses, to big mountain mashers. Through their sister businesses, Yellowstone Horse Rentals, Yellowstone Outfitters, Wagons West and over 50 years of guiding under their belts, you'll be sure to walk away from Teton Village Trail Rides with lasting memories!
