We’re so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you. If you choose to spend some extra time exploring NYC before or after the wedding, here are some recommendations. Also, in case you did not know, Airbnb is not technically allowed in the city, so hotels are generally a better choice.
Central Park is an urban park between the Upper West Side and Upper East Side neighborhoods of Manhattan in New York City that was the first landscaped park in the United States.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, colloquially referred to as the Met, is an encyclopedic art museum in New York City. It is the largest art museum in the Americas and the fourth-largest in the world.
Statue City Cruises is the ONLY authorized official provider of tickets to the Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island. Please be aware that Street Vendors do NOT sell genuine Statue of Liberty tickets. Avoid Street Sellers.
The Brooklyn Bridge is a hybrid cable-stayed/suspension bridge in New York City, spanning the East River between the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Opened on May 24, 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge was the first fixed crossing of the East River.

We love this look out over the city. We take everyone who visits here.
The MoMA's holdings include more than 150,000 individual pieces in addition to roughly 22,000 films and 4 million film stills. Some highlights include Vincent van Gogh, The Starry Night & The Olive Trees with the Alpilles in the Background, Giorgio de Chirico, Love Song, Pablo Picasso, Three Musicians, and more. I recommend starting from the top and working your way down.
From dinosaurs to outer space & everything in between, this huge museum showcases natural wonders.
Recommend booking earlier than later as they do sell out fairly quickly. MacDougal is the original location but all venues are just as great.

Other great bagel places are Ess-a-bagel, Absolute Bagels, Tompkins Square Bagels, Russ & Daughters, and Popup Bagels.
Modern Chinese haunt serving dishes made with local ingredients, including some from its own garden. So far, this is my favorite Chinese restaurant I have been to. My favorite drink there is the Mandarin Jewel.
Another good Asian spot is Turntable Chicken Jazz. Best Korean fried chicken, sides & beer towers in a buzzy space with a DJ spinning vintage vinyl.
Chris and I favorite rooftop in Brooklyn. Great views of Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge. Great photo op.
Other great roof top bars are Skylark, The Roof at Park South, Refinery Rooftop, Mr. Purple, and Magic Hour Rooftop.
My go to restaurant before going to a broadway show.
Bustling New American eatery with huge windows & an emphasis on farm-fresh fare.
Square pies named for streets in the neighborhood nourish & amuse at this NoLita pizzeria. Other pizza places recommend are L'Industrie, John's on Bleecker, and Bleecker Street Pizza.
