August 2021 was the year it all started. Alejandro was a senior and Lauren was a sophomore. They met through mutual friends while in school, and fell for each other from the very beginning. They bonded over their love for God, their dedication in school and sports, and the morals they had in life. They started out as just friends because Lauren was not ready for a relationship. So, for eight months Alejandro kept trying to win her heart over, with actions such as walking her to class, coming to all of her volleyball games, finding her after football games for a picture, passing her notes during school, and complementing her any chance he got. Soon enough, Lauren was won over and they stared dating on the 19th of March 2022.

Soon after Alejandro's graduation, he shipped off to the Air Force to attend basic training. The saying "distance makes the heart grow fonder," stuck with them through the battle of long distance and little communication. While Alejandro was in basic training, without fail, Lauren sent a letter every single day to help encourage him and show her love for him. While he was gone, she anxiously waited with her phone in hand for him to call and tell her all about what he has been up to while in basic training. As they were adjusting to military life, Alejandro and Lauren learned the importance of keeping God at the center of their relationship and building a firm foundation of trust while taking on this unknown chapter in their lives.

On November 24th, 2024 a new story began, when Alejandro flew down to Texas to surprise Lauren for their engagement. He and his future mother-in-law had been planning it out for months. From going to different locations for the proposal to choosing the perfect ring for her, even reaching out to Lauren's best friend to make sure she was proposal ready and to get her to the spot. Everything had to be done in secret in order for Lauren to have her fairytale moment. After all the consideration and careful scheming the moment came when Lauren was brought out to the location where Alejandro was patiently waiting. After getting down on one knee and expressing his truest form of love for her, she said yes.

That brings us to where we are now. Through this upcoming chapter of marriage, Alejandro and Lauren want to invite the most meaningful people to their wedding. Each and every one of them has poured into their lives and relationship in some sort of way.
