If you didn't already know, Charleston is a foodie's paradise! With an abundance of selections for every palate, Charleston has been ranked along the best cities to wine and dine in the US year after year. Known for its staple southern cuisine, such as she crab soup, shrimp n' grits, and gumbo, it also has its fair share of mouth watering seafood restaurants, steak houses, ice cream shops, and more. Get out and indulge yourself!
Traditional Southern cooking served in a Victorian townhouse with porches & a massive wine cellar...yum!
Cozy, contemporary seafood eatery with a patio, serving oysters, lobster rolls, fish tacos & more. First come, first serve, and always worth the wait!
Lowcountry cooking at it's finest. Make your reservations beforehand as this staple fills up quickly! And do not, I repeat do not skip the pecan pie!
Need a break from the Southern cuisine? Pop into Sabatino's for a delicious slice of pizza on the go! Caleb goes so far to state it may be the best pizza he's ever had in his life...and that's saying something!
Henry's on the Market is a swanky bar/restaurant with live music most nights, rooftop patio, and eclectic art gallery on the second floor.
Get yourself a good local brew and some fried pickles at this dive bar favorite. Bonus points if you find the dollar we hung up in 2020!
Award winning bloody mary's, a historic brick courtyard, and live music...need we say more? Plus, it's where Lauren used to bartend while enrolled at CofC.
Get lost in the streets of downtown Charleston - walk from upper King Street to the Market, tour the campus, grab a bite at local eateries...it won't be long 'til you lose track of time!
Shop, dine, & drink on upper King Street! Some of our favorite spots are Cocktail Club, Hall's Chophouse, Toast, Republic Garden and Lounge, and Prohibition Jazz Club.
Family owned and operated sightseeing trips on historic carriages pulled by horse and/or haunted ghost tours by night.
Walk the Charleston City Market downtown to shop fun souvenirs from local artisans!
Just around the corner from the old city market is the waterfront area of the peninsula, known as the Battery. Along this stroll are plenty of spots to sit down and take in the low country's picturesque surroundings.
If you know Lauren and Caleb, you know they always find their way to the water. COA offers several water tours where bottlenose dolphins and other local marine life are often spotted. If you really want to get your hands dirty, go shark tooth hunting with Coastal Expeditions instead.
Around the downtown peninsula are plenty of beaches: Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms (IOP), and Folly are the closest!
We would show you a picture but don't want to spoil it. The Angel Oak is something you have to see for yourself!
