The Bass Pro Shop inside the Pyramid is definitely something to see. Make sure to ride the elevator to the restaurant on the top to get a beautiful view of the city!
Big River Crossing is a walking bridge on the Mississippi River that goes from Tennessee to Arkansas. It is where David proposed!
The Peabody is a beautiful hotel located in the heart of downtown Memphis. Hang out in the lobby or go up to the rooftop for a beautiful view! And don’t forget about visiting the famous ducks!
Shelby Farms is a public park that has lots of walking trails, bike trails, a restaurant, and much more! Rent anything from bikes to kayaks or just take a walk around the lake. It is one of David and I's favorite places to go here in Memphis.
Go Ape is an outdoor ropes course/ zipline located in Shelby Farms Park.
Crosstown Concourse is the former Sears distribution center that was recently renovated. It contains a lot of stores and unique restaurants. It also has a brewery next door called “Crosstown Brewery” if you’re wanting to try some locally brewed beer.
Collierville Town Square has a lot of restaurants and places to shop. It is located right down the street from the host hotel and would be a perfect option if you aren't wanting to venture all the way into the city.
Carriage Crossing is the newest outdoor mall in the Memphis/Collierville area. It is conveniently located to the host hotel and has plenty of shopping!
The Civil Rights Museum is located downtown at the former Lorraine Motel.
The Rendezvous is a famous barbeque restaurant in an alley in downtown Memphis. If you're looking for good barbeque, Rendezvous is the place to go.
Central BBQ is David's favorite barbeque place in Memphis. The nachos are our favorite! There are multiple locations around the city- this location is the closest option to the host hotel but if you venture into the city, be sure to check the closest location to wherever you are.
Babalu is a restaurant in Overton Square in Midtown Memphis. It is one of our favorite date night spots! This location is the original location but there is another location closer to the host hotel.
Gus's is a good option if you are looking for something started local that is not barbeque. There are multiple locations throughout the city but his location is located in the Collierville Square very close to the host hotel.
Muddy's is my favorite local bakery. Be sure to try one of their cupcakes- they are all amazing!
Huey's is a local restaurant known for their burgers. There are multiple locations around the city but this location is right down the street from the host hotel.
Memphis Pizza Café is a local pizza place. The barbeque pizza is my favorite!
Jerry's is a local snow cone place that has been around for a long time. It is very well known and loved in Memphis. They only accept cash so don't forget that! The location listed is the original location, but there is another location that is not as far into the city.
Gibson's is a local donut shop that is by far the best donuts in the city. It located in the East Memphis area, about 15-20 minutes away from the host hotel but definitely worth it!
Dyer's is a historic restaurant that has been around for over a century. They claim that what makes their burgers so good is that they have been using the same grease since the restaurant opened in 1912! This is the original location on Beale Street downtown but there is a newer location off of the Collierville Town Square very close to the host hotel.
Loflin Yard is a bar/restaurant located in the South Main area of downtown Memphis. It is an indoor/outdoor bar that offers yard games and is a fun place to go if you're just looking to hang out.
Railgarten is located in Midtown Memphis. It is an old rail yard that is now home to a diner, tiki bar, and ping pong bar.
Raiford's is a disco themed bar and fun place to go if you're wanting to experience night life in Memphis. It is located down town and within walking distance of Beale Street.
Carolina Watershed is a restaurant/bar that is a good place to hang out. It is located in downtown Memphis.
Tops is another local barbeque favorite. There are many locations around the city- this location is the closest to the host hotel.
The Historic Arcade has been open since 1919 and has amazing food. I would recommend going for breakfast! It is located downtown near the Civil Rights Museum.
