Chris and Lauren first connected through Kansas State University. During Spring 2016, Chris was a senior at The Woodlands High School while Lauren was a Freshman at Kansas State University. Chris had applied to the Aviation program, and Lauren reached out to him congratulation him on his acceptance to Kansas State and why he should pick the university. This started a series of email conversations (that Lauren kept and still has to this day!) and a friendship began.

They first met up at Starbucks in Market Street over Spring Break, where Lauren learned a lot about Chris's passion for flying and asking questions about attending Kansas State University.

Over the next year Chris and Lauren continued to be friends, occasionally hanging out on weekends during football and basketball seasons.

During Fall 2017, they grew closer and started to hang out every weekend. Chris eventually asked Lauren out, and their first date was at Via Emilia. Dating for a couple of months, Chris asked Lauren to be his girlfriend January 2018.

In a span of five and a half years, Chris and Lauren experienced so much that made their relationship better and stronger. Chris was there for Lauren when her mom was really sick, and finally received her blessed transplant!

Both graduated from Kansas State University in Spring 2019, and moved to Wichita where Chris took of in the private aviation sector and Lauren worked for the Regional Chamber of Commerce. Once the pandemic hit, they both moved back to Houston at the beginning of May in 2020. While this period was hard for many, each was a support for the other during this unsure time.

Chris found another job in private aviation for a charter company while Lauren was blessed with an marketing opportunity in The Woodlands thanks to a close high school friend. For the next couple of years, several job changes occurred for Chris - advancing him farther into his career. Lauren also had a job change focusing more on data within a client's marketing campaign.

They both now live in Montgomery, TX and spend their time planning future vacations, hanging out with friends and family, and trying new experiences for date nights!
