Lauryn and Taylor met through overlapping friend groups in high school, eventually talking more consistently in Lauryn's grade 12 year. That summer, they texted (BBM'd more specifically) non-stop while Lauryn was in Manitoba, and eventually made plans to go on a date when she returned.

The date went well, and on September 7, 2013 they officially began dating. Their relationship progressed over the years and they celebrated many life events together including Lauryn graduating university and Taylor becoming a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician.

Taylor was patient through many years of catching slack from Lauryn's friends and family on when a proposal was coming... but it was an agreed term that they would not get engaged while still living at home with their parents. Typing that even gives me the ick... Thankfully, Lauryn and Taylor found their first home in April of 2022.

Taylor caught Lauryn by surprise, proposing in October of 2023 after one of her workout-classes (looking her best, obviously)... and the rest is history!

We can't wait to celebrate our love story with our closest family and friends by our side!
