Lauryn and Taylor met through overlapping friend groups in high school, eventually talking more consistently in Lauryn's grade 12 year. That summer, they texted (BBM'd more specifically) non-stop while Lauryn was in Manitoba, and eventually made plans to go on a date when she returned. The date went well, and on September 7, 2013 they officially began dating. Their relationship progressed over the years and they celebrated many life events together including Lauryn graduating university and Taylor becoming a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician. Taylor was patient through many years of catching slack from Lauryn's friends and family on when a proposal was coming... but it was an agreed term that they would not get engaged while still living at home with their parents. Typing that even gives me the ick... Thankfully, Lauryn and Taylor found their first home in April of 2022. Taylor caught Lauryn by surprise, proposing in October of 2023 after one of her workout-classes (looking her best, obviously)... and the rest is history! We can't wait to celebrate our love story with our closest family and friends by our side!

Nicole is Lauryn's best friend of 27 years. They have gone through every phase of life together, beginning in Kindergarten, through high school parties, and now into marriage. There is no one quite like Nicole that could fill the role of MOH.

Anja is one of Lauryn's closest childhood friends. Lauryn was so excited when Anja and her now-husband Korsyn chose to buy a house in Langdon. After spending years in Vancouver, then moving to Calgary, the gang is back together in Langdon for years of memories to continue.

You guessed it! Lana is another childhood best friend. Some of the best memories were made on Lana's parent's acreage... well best memories for most! Together, Lana, Anja, Nicole and Lauryn have shared a special friendship for 25 years - and at least 25 more years to come!

Koralee is Lauryn's closest cousin... more like sister. Koralee and Lauryn spent every summer together in Manitoba throughout childhood, and continue the tradition to this day. There is no one else Lauryn could spend as much time with and not get sick of them... Taylor included.
