Ryan moved to Huntington, WV from Hernshaw, WV in 2018. Shortly after, Leah met Ryan in Huntington, WV after moving from Fishers, IN. Both Ryan and Leah are proud alumni of Marshall University. It is because of Marshall, and The Herd family, that Ryan and Leah had the opportunity to grow as individuals, were introduced to an incredible crop of friends, and in the end, gave them the courage to pursue one another, forever.

The formal introduction between the two can be summed by listening to the song, "We Found Love" by Rihanna. Ryan and Leah first met outside of a bar (that no longer exists) in Huntington, WV. Despite being surrounded by masses of people, ignoring the fact that their shoes were sticking to the floor and the blaring music, their connection was instant. They stayed at this bar until closing, around 3:30 in the morning talking and getting to know one another.

Since then, Ryan and Leah established an incredible bond and hit milestone #1, moving into their first apartment in May of 2022! Leah graduated from Marshall University on 04/30/2023. Ryan carefully planned a proposal where friends and families could witness and popped the question after Leah's graduation ceremony! They currently reside in Melbourne, FL and are loving their new life as Floridians.

Overall, Ryan and Leah are incredibly grateful to have found one another and look forward to continuing to learn and love more every day for the rest of their lives!
