After high school, Mitch moved to Arkansas for Basic Training. Leah moved to Tennessee for ballet.

We both moved back to Columbus, Ohio in the summer of 2018 and ran into one another at the Worthington Farmer's Market, specifically Sweet Thing Gourmet's stand where we were both buying (the best) jam.

...and the rest is history.

We started dating and every weekend was spent as together as possible, and even some weeknights.

We were both working and starting school. And yet, we still spent as much time together as possible in the midst of work and classes.

Our first trip together was in March 2020 to, no other than, Seattle, Washington. This was when our crazy idea of moving to Washington started to grow. Then, of course, COVID hit in 2020 and we spent even more time together.

Then, we moved to our tiny apartment in Columbus, our first home together. In 2021, we got our sweet dog Lucy.

After what felt like a very long time, we were in our final year of school. In December, we decided that moving to Washington was officially going to happen and plans started! Post-graduation, we finalized all of our plans... well, almost...

After graduation, we visited Seattle, Washington to finalize plans, re-taste amazing food, and do some hiking.

With Mitch's sister and brother-in-law, we went to Mt. Storm King for a hike. 2000 feet of elevation in 2 miles and one of the most beautiful views. And even better, Mitch proposed at the top of the mountain.

We moved out to Washington with a Uhaul dragging the Jeep behind it. We camped along the way in a great cross-country road trip with Lucy (who is a surprisingly good hiker/camper).

We have been in Washington for about 2 years now and loving it (though the ridiculously long, dark winter is tough).

Well, we're getting married on our 7th anniversary!
