Located just a 15 minute drive from the wedding venue, this charming yet funky mountain town is full of restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, boutiques, and unique attractions. Go grab a beer from The Very Nice Brewing Company. Eat at one of the local favorite restaurants such as Crosscut Pizzeria and Taphouse, Kathmandu Restaurant, or Busey Brews Smokehouse & Brewery. Take a ride on the Carousel of Happiness (hand carved animals by a man in his garage - read the story here: https://carouselofhappiness.org/about/the-story-of-the-carousel/). Explore the "rock shop" called Nature's Own to find a unique fossil. Get a drink at one of the local coffee shops such as The New Moon Bakery and Cafe or The Train Cars (in an actual converted train car). There is lots more to explore and see here!

For an option very close to the wedding venue, you can explore the West Magnolia trailhead: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/west-magnolia-trails. There are also many trailheads and hikes around Boulder such as the Shanahan Ridge Trailhead, Chautauqua Park, and Mount Sanitas Trailhead.
The wedding venue is about 30 minutes up Boulder Canyon. For those staying down in the city of Boulder or wanting a day down the mountain, exploring the shops on Pearl Street Mall provides opportunities for entertainment with street performers, shopping, and dining. Also the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse is a must see and a great place to grab a bite to eat. Just make sure to make a reservation! Boulder is also home to an array of breweries such as the Mountain Sun and Avery Brewing Company. On a hot day consider cooling down at Boulder Creek.
Only about 35-40 minutes from the wedding venue are the historic towns of Black Hawk and Central City where you can try your luck at slots or black jack among other games for those interested in gambling.
Just off of I-70 and about an hour from the venue is the small town of Idaho Springs. This town is known for its Indian Hot Springs, the Tommyknocker Brewery, Clear Creek Cidery, Beau Jo's Pizzeria, and the Argo Mill and Tunnel where you can take a gold mine tour.
