Our Wedding

Our journey begins back at Miami University during the spring semester of 2024. It was both our senior year of college, and we were introduced to each other through some mutual friends of ours while we were out at a bar. We somehow managed to talk to each other throughout the whole evening in the crowded bar with music playing. We left and were unsure if we would ever see each other again. We reconnected in the late summer of 2024, and around Christmas of 2024, we went on our first official date and have been almost inseparable ever since.After our first date, we had to go our separate ways. Mikey was at Fort Benning down in Georgia, about to start Ranger school. And I was still living in Cincinnati and teaching. We wrote letters back and forth as Mikey was at Ranger school and tried to stay in contact for those couple of months, the best we could. Then, when he graduated, we knew we needed to see each other again. We were able to meet up in Georgia and got to spend a weekend together. By the end of that weekend, I think we both realized that we were very quickly falling in love.From then on, our lives became one. When Mikey was moving to New York to be up at Fort Drum, we knew we had to make the move together. We loaded him up in a U-Haul and drove all the way up to move him to New York. About a month later, Leah made that move too. We spend every day by each other's sides, and we wouldn't want it any other way. This has been the best adventure of our lives and we can't wait for a lifetime more.
