Leah and Patrick’s story began as neighbors on Linwood Avenue in 2008. They would see each other walking their dogs, Shadow and Indie, and see each other through mutual friends.

Life got in the way and Leah moved away from Buffalo. It was over a year later these two found each other again.

Leah worked at Roswell Park and lived in Niagara County. Always self-sufficient, she began riding her bike 10 miles to work while her car was in the shop for repairs. Patrick stepped back in and offered to have her stay at his house for a few days with Shadow until her car was ready. He saw her walking up the driveway with her bike and decided he never wanted her to leave.

Since then, they have been inseparable, sharing a love of animals, gardening, nature, and even collecting rocks. Together, they have six beautiful animals: Kiona, Finny, Twila, Emmy, Chester, and Chaddy pants.
