Q + A

Why did I only receive a wedding announcement?

While we would love all our friends and family to be able to celebrate our special day with us, we have made the decision to keep our wedding small and intimate. We want to share the excitement of our upcoming union. We hope you understand and respect our decision.

What COVID precautions will be taken at the wedding?

As of June 2021, anyone 12 years or older is eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Many of our friends and family members have been vaccinated, including Leah and Dave. Our wedding ceremony and reception will be outdoors. We are not requiring masks or vaccinations to attend our celebration. Per state mandate, masks are required for indoor gatherings. Praying for no rain, but should it rain, we will have our wedding in the onsite Chapel at our venue. Please be prepared to wear a mask should it rain and convert to indoors. The CDC guidelines and North Carolina state mandates will continue to be followed/monitored and adjustments will be made if needed. We encourage being vaccinated prior to our wedding, however, we respect your decision on this controversial topic.

Will there be parking at the Venue?

Yes, parking is available in the lot next to the venue free of charge to our guests. Guests are able to leave their vehicle in the parking lot up to noon the day following the wedding. Should you need reserved handicap accessibility, please notify us in advance. You are also welcome to take a taxi, Uber or Lyft to the venue as well.

When should I arrive at the venue?

Wedding party individuals will be able to enter the venue two hours prior to the ceremony. Any wedding party individuals needing hair and/or make-up must have this completed off site. All guests are able to enter the venue 30 minutes prior to the ceremony. Our wedding coordinators will ensure all guests are seated prior to the start of the ceremony.

Can I take pictures at the wedding?

We have hired a professional photographer to take all pictures during the ceremony. We request that no cameras or cellphone cameras be used during the ceremony. You are welcome to take photographs before the ceremony and during the reception. We will also have AVL Photo Booth mirror onsite for fun group pictures, which you are able to print or text to yourself.

Is the wedding and reception kid friendly?

If your child's name was on the invitation he/she is invited. Our venue provides outdoor games, such as toss across and corn hole for entertainment for kids and adults. We will also have a photo booth with an attendant. Kids are welcome to take and print as many pictures from the photo booth they desire.

Where are you registered?

We are currently registered at Sur la Table and Bed Bath & Beyond. All registries will be linked on our wedding webpage under registry.

Can I smoke at the venue?

Our venue is a smoke free, vape free and drug free zone. Any violation of this will result in a fee (billed to the guest at fault) and removal from the venue for the remainder of the event.
