Our Wedding

We first met at Thurmont Elementary School in May of 2015. &nbsp;Tyler was in his first year as a user support specialist and Leah had just graduated college and was a long term substitute. &nbsp;We were really shy around each other, and only said the occasional “hello” and “good morning” in the hallway. The next school year, Leah got hired as a 5th grade teacher at Thurmont Elementary. &nbsp;Everyone kept telling us that we would be a great couple, but we were both hesitant and just laughed it off. As the school year went on, Leah seemed to have more and more technical issues (which were completely valid, by the way), and that led to Tyler spending more and more time in her classroom. &nbsp;We first hung out over spring break that school year (2016), and went hiking. On the last day of school, we went out to dinner and went to see a movie. That summer, we finally became official, and the rest is history.

On November 26, 2018, Tyler asked Leah to marry him in her classroom after school. &nbsp;This classroom is the same one where we first met. It was so special for him to propose in the place that started it all. &nbsp;

Things to Do

When can I take pictures at the wedding?

Unplugged Ceremony

We will be having an&nbsp;unplugged ceremony! Please respect our wishes as we have hired a photographer to capture our special moments during our ceremony.&nbsp;

 



During cocktail hour and the reception, you may take as many pictures as you'd like!&nbsp;(As long as you promise to share your photos with us :)&nbsp;)&nbsp;

Can I bring a plus one?

If your invitation is addressed to you "and Guest", we'd love for you to bring a plus one! In order to keep our guest list on track ,we aren't able to include dates for all of our guests. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us!

What about my kids?

If your invitation is addressed to you and your family, your kids are invited. Thank you for understanding as we are limited on numbers. If you have any questions, please contact us!

Where can I stay for the wedding?

When should we get to the ceremony?

Our ceremony will start at 5pm sharp. Please get to the ceremony&nbsp;by 4:45 to grab a seat.

How long will the reception be?

Our reception will begin following our cocktail hour.&nbsp;The party will come to an end at 11:00 pm sharp. Please respect this time and begin making your way home/back to your hotel.
