Yes! We bought our home here and spend half our time between DC and WV.

The wedding will be at The Lost River Guesthouse 288 Settlers Valley Way, Lost River, WV 26810. Driving from DC takes about 2 hours and 15 mins. For guests flying in, it's about 1 hour and 50 mins from IAD or 2 hours even from DCA.

Cars welcome. There is plenty of parking at the Guesthouse. We'll have transport for the evening events that are outside of the Guesthouse. If you need a ride from DC or a local airport, let us know and we'll put together a carpool spreadsheet.

Events leading up to the wedding on Saturday will be pretty casual with a lean towards country / Appalachian vibes. Many daytime activities are outdoorsy and many of the surfaces around the guesthouse are uneven, so make sure to bring comfortable shoes. The wedding itself will be comfortable-cocktail-chic. The bride will be in a wedding gown and the groom, a suit and tie. No tie? No problem. Heels hurt? Flats fine. Athleisure? Probably not.

This is a small intimate wedding with our nearest and dearest (you). This venue is close to our hearts but comes with a strict limit on number of guests it can accommodate. Invite is by individual name(s) on the invitation only. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate other +1's. We appreciate an RSVP as early as possible. While we regret any regrets, knowledge of them will allow us to extend invitations to more loved ones. Please reach out if you have any questions.

There will be a welcome dinner buffet at the Guesthouse on Friday evening from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. with options for vegetarians and people with gluten sensitivities. On Saturday, folks staying at the Guesthouse can opt into a breakfast that is served at 9:00am *sharp.* There are plenty of great local options for guests staying elsewhere. We've listed some of our favorites in the "Things to Do" section of this website. Lunch is on your own. After the wedding ceremony there will be a cocktail hour from 6:00pm - 7:00pm with passed hors d'oeuvres. Dinner will be served from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. We will reach out for your dinner preference a couple of weeks before the wedding.

We love your little ones, but this will be an affair for grown folks only.

If you have time before leaving on Sunday, please come see us at our home! It is located right next door to The Guesthouse at 452 Settlers Valley Way. We will be hosting a bagel breakfast starting at 11am.
