These are just a few of MANY options of places to stay, please feel free to look at any other options you'd prefer. There are multiple hotels, rooms for rent and air bnb's. Please reach out to us if you need any help or opinions in finding a place you'd like to stay.

Hotel Laguna

$$$This is an all-inclusive resort. It's at the bridge to go into Ulqin so it's a good halfway point between the village of Donji Štoj and the city of Ulqin. -There's options for different types of rooms &amp; suites.-There's an app you can download for your stay.-All meals and drinks are included. There is a buffet as well as 6 restaurants (*the steakhouse &amp; Italian restaurants need to be reserved 24hrs in advance).-The buffet breakfast was good, the buffet dinner wasn't great but the antipasto and salad bar were good.- There is only 1 Jazz Lounge that stays open until 2 am for drinks, they have live music.- There is no room service/food past 9:30pm.

If you want to travel around, we suggest downloading the app 'Here WeGo'. It's a GPS app that allows you to download the maps of the countries you would like to drive in/through. That way, it can be used if you lose your WiFi/date while traveling between countries.

Things to see/do 🇲🇪

- Stari Grad Ulcinj (The Old Town), beautiful to walk around, views of ulqin and the sea are wonderful. Old buildings and roads, restaurants. - Valdanos. Rock beach in an alcove, beautiful drive through the olive groves to get there. - Ada Bojana. The River that runs from Montenegro to Albania one way and runs into the Adriatic Sea the other way. - Kite surfing, jet skis, boat rides etc. on the beaches. - Hiking trail on Ulcinj Long Beach.

Currency

Montenegro - Euro'sthe conversion from dollars to euros fluctuates. Albania - Lek (also accepts euros)the conversation from dollars/euros to lek fluctuates. Places to exchange money:AirportAny Bank in Ulcinj There are ATM's available too however I would suggest trying to exchange at the bank instead because I don't know how well the ATM's stay up to date with current conversion amounts. But we've used both with no issues!

Languages

Most people/workers speak English! The country language is Montenegrin, however most people also speak Albanian as it's populated by mostly Albanians. If you run into any language barrier issues you can always give us a call!

Paying

Cash and Cards are both accepted at all establishments.*Cards will charge you for the foreign exchange rate adjustment, mine shows up as a separate charge after the initial payment. Tips are not required nor do they go by percentages there.However, they're obviously appreciated if you do decide to tip and we always go off of the service :)

Cellphones

Most everyone here uses Viber or Whatsapp to call/text, they're very simple to download and use. Most cellphone plans offer an overseas temporary plan, but there are other options. They offer prepaid sim cards if your phone is unlocked and can use them. They also have free Wi-Fi everywhere. If you turn on your airplane mode to keep the data off, and then turn on your Wi-Fi calling, you can use your phone as you normally would while connected to any internet. Another option they have is personal mobile Wi-Fi boxes, you buy the box and then prepay for the internet. You can connect any devices you want, as long as it's charged you have Wi-Fi access.
