Matt and I first met at Gannon University in 2014. I was actually a senior in high school taking college courses and Matt was a sophomore in college. During this class we worked on a group project together but weren’t really friends. We went our separate ways but later had more classes together and became acquaintances. He was actually a Teacher’s assistant for one of my classes and helped me out with some projects. Again, we went our separate ways after graduation.
In March of 2020, we both were visiting Erie for St. Patty’s weekend. I heard he was in town so I reached out and suggested we catch up if we happen to cross paths that night downtown. We eventually met up and danced the night away. Shortly after, the world shut down due to COVID but our journey was just beginning. We didn’t actually go out on our first dinner date until 2021 when the restaurants opened back up. We used to meet half way on Wednesdays and order take out and eat dinner together in one of our vehicles.
About two years later Matt moved to Altoona with me and of course we couldn’t be happier. After two more years of living together he asked me to marry him at the Seneca Point lookout in Cook Forest. We both have so many wonderful memories in Cook Forest growing up, and continued to make more memories there together. We decided that’s where we want to start our forever and would like you to join us.
