Our Wedding

They met on Hinge. "Is that the Mackinac bridge?" he asked her about one of her photos, thinking "there's no way; it's just any other bridge". "It IS!" she responded (one week later...) and the rest was history! They met at one of their favorite breweries (New Terrain). "Wow, I feel like you're my best friend that I haven't seen in 26 years!" they both thought. Within a month they had hiked a 14er together and backpacked. One month later they went to Michigan (for his brother Drew's wedding!) and saw the bridge that brought them together in person. The next month Lexi left Dave alone for Thanksgiving and, one delusional covid booster shot later, along came Rodeo! Lots of hikes, bikes, backpacks, and skiing trips later... Their 2nd anniversary they bought their home together, and their wedding will be a celebration of their 3rd anniversary and marriage union!

Lexi B's ride-or-die since that one fortuitous 5:30 a.m. cross country run at the Lake of the Ozarks in high school. Kenz is the reason Lexi moved to Colorado, as a CSU alum, their visits showed CO's beauty and love of outdoor culture! (They've tried to not let the Buff-Ram rivalry get between Kenz and Dave, mostly successfully!). 

Mckenzie Wright                    (Aka Kenzie-loo!) 

David and Andrew met when Andrew was born. They are brothers :) 

Andrew Wylie (Aka "My Brother Andrew") 

Yet another running connection! Ashley and Lexi B were hallmates their freshman year at Drury University, and roommates afterwards! They ran into each other in the hall and Spanish class and discovered that they both like to run, a few runs later, the rest is history! 

Ashley Butzlaff (nicknames "Ash" and "A-berg" were vetoed :)) 

David and Ben have been friends since 7th grade when they both moved to Evergreen. Throughout the years they've been on countless band and fishing trips, and bonded over hours (more like months) of video games and listening to public radio.

Benjamin Holland (Aka "Bean") 

You guessed it - yet ANOTHER running connection! Michelle posted on the incoming University of Michigan Facebook page for grad school, "Anyone interested in running a marathon with me?" and of course Lexi said yes! Countless stir-fry study dates, bonfires, and one 26.2 mi run to Canada really cements a friendship! 

Michelle Farhat (Aka MICHEEEELLLLEEE)

Chan and David met in high school band and mostly played Pokémon and ate cereal. After high school they ended up being roommates for three years of college at CU Boulder, keeping each other mostly out of trouble.

Chandler Harris (Aka "Mr. Science) 

Lexi and Jack were fast friends and roommates together as caretakers of the Nichols Arboretum at the University of Michigan. They've shared many miles hiking and shared beers around a bonfire talking about how cools trees are and what jobs they can get to save more trees (and have been co-workers at 2 of those jobs in 2 different states!).

Shuttles will be available to/from wedding venue to save guests from making the mountain drive! Pick up / drop off location will be in front of the Hampton Inn in Golden. You can park in any surrounding parking lots for the duration of the wedding and reception. Shuttles will be available, RSVP with your online wedding RSVP (note that if you did not do this there may not be enough space for you as this is the number we used to reserve # of seats!): Departure from Golden at 3 p.m. (this is departure - try to be at shuttle by 2:45!) Departure from Echo Mountain: 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
