Coastal Farewell Brunch

Our Wedding

Jackson and Lexie’s story began in July 2022 at a student housing complex in Raleigh, NC. Lexie had just graduated from James Madison University and moved to Raleigh to start a new job, temporarily subleasing an apartment in the student housing complex. One evening, Lexie and her friend Katie decided to check out the party scene. Lexie jokingly said, “This is a college apartment, there’s gotta be a party here.” Sure enough, after hearing music down the hall, they knocked on a door, and that’s when she met Jackson, who was in the middle of winning a hand of poker. Just a couple days later, they were officially dating. Fast forward two years, and they’re now planning their wedding! Jackson grew up in Wilmington, NC and spent seven years as a surf instructor at Carolina Beach, NC. Meanwhile, Lexie grew up in Richmond, VA, and although they were from different places, fate had a way of bringing them together. During the first part of their relationship, while Jackson was teaching surf lessons in Carolina Beach and Lexie was living in Raleigh, they made some of their most special memories together by the ocean. That’s why they chose Carolina Beach for their special day—it’s a place that holds so many meaningful moments for them as a couple.

Ladies, please wear long-flowing dresses or lightweight suits in neutral or pastel tones. Gentlemen, suits or dress pants with a button-down are ideal (ties optional but encouraged). Choose elegant, airy fabrics perfect for a springtime coastal celebration. :) While our venue is indoors, cocktail hour will be held outdoors. Evenings in April can be breezy, so we recommend bringing a light wrap or jacket for comfort. We cannot wait to celebrate with you! If you are staying at one of the recommended hotels, the venue is within walking distance.

The Wilmington International Airport is about 30 minutes from our recommended hotels. Although this is a smaller airport, this would be most convenient for those planning to spend the weekend exploring the Wilmington-Carolina Beach area after the wedding.

Will there be transportation provided?

No transportation needed—just a short stroll! Our recommended hotels are within walking distance of the venue, but if you’d rather drive, there’s free parking available in the venue’s lot. Ubers are also a great option if you prefer to be dropped off right at the door. Either way, we’ve got you covered for an easy trip to the celebration! :)

Do I need to stay at hotels listed on the site?

No, you’re not required to stay at one of the recommended hotels! There are plenty of great Airbnb options nearby if you’d prefer a more unique stay or need space for a big group or family. Feel free to choose what works best for you!

Can I bring a guest?

We are so excited to celebrate this day with so many of our favorite people! However, due to venue restrictions, we cannot accommodate guests not listed on the invitation.

Can I bring my children?

While we love your little ones, we kindly request an adults-only event. We would love to celebrate with your whole family, including your kids, but unfortunately we have reached the maximum capacity for our venue. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home.

Will the Wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The wedding ceremony and reception will be indoors, but cocktail hour will take place outdoors. April evenings can be a bit breezy, so we recommend bringing a light wrap or jacket to stay comfortable.
