Please note: our wedding is during Liberty University's commencement weekend. We strongly recommend booking flights and accommodations at your earliest convenience. We are not offering hotel blocks at this time. This is to ensure that each party may find accommodations that best suit their own needs and preferences.

Transportation

We would highly recommend flying into Roanoke. Major airlines that fly into Roanoke include Allegiant Air, American, Delta, and United Airlines. As Liberty University will be hosting the annual commencement ceremonies on the weekend of our wedding, we do not suggest flying into Lynchburg. High travel expenses, lack of rental cars, and lack of hotel space will greatly reduce traveling ease. The closest airports that fly Southwest include Richmond, Charlottesville, and Raleigh-Durham.

Visit Roanoke

This&nbsp;1.5 mile&nbsp;trail ascends 1,300 vertical feet through the forests on Sharp Top Mountain to spectacular 360° views of the Peaks of Otter and surrounding landscape. For a less crowded experience, consider relaxing at the Buzzard's Roost spur rather than hiking all the way up to the summit.

A Blue Ridge Parkway experience is unlike any other: a slow-paced and relaxing drive revealing stunning long-range vistas and close-up views of the rugged mountains and pastoral landscapes of the Appalachian Highlands. The Parkway meanders for 469 miles, protecting a diversity of plants and animals, and providing opportunities for enjoying all that makes this region of the country so special.

If you're wishing you were back home attending your regular Sunday morning church service, fret no more! We absolutely LOVE our church and are so pleased to call it home. Though we will be getting ready for the wedding festivities in the evening, consider stopping in and attending a service at 8am, 9:30am, or 11am on Sunday! We also have a church branch located in Roanoke, if the drive to Bedford feels unappealing.

Not from this area of the country and want to explore more? Consider visiting Washington, D.C. (4 hr drive), Gatlinburg (4 hr drive), Virginia Beach (4.5 hr drive), Myrtle Beach (5 hr drive), Outer Banks (6 hr drive), or Nashville (6.5 hr drive), for an extended vacation! Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Tennessee are right around the corner just waiting to be explored. Don't waste the opportunity to experience something new!
