Welcome Day - Friday, June 26, 2026

Wedding rehearsal 9AM

Piedmont Community Hall711 Highland Ave, Piedmont, CA 94611Attire: casualThe rehearsal will be at the wedding venue. There is a chance that a different event may boot us from this first-choice time of Friday at 9am, in which case, the rehearsal will take place at the wedding venue on Thursday at 5:30pm. If you were invited to the rehearsal, it was listed as an event with you digitally RSVP'd.

Willard Park Hang 3pm-6pm

Willard Park2730 Hillegrass Ave, Berkeley, CAAttire: Casual, shoes that will work for grass.Come join us at a cozy park in Berkeley! We’ll have games and likely some light refreshments. Bring a game, a blanket, or something to share if you'd like. All wedding guests are welcome!

Rehearsal dinner 6:30pm

Welcome drinks at Kingfish Pub 8-10pm

Kingfish Pub &amp; Cafe5227 Telegraph Ave, Oakland, CAAttire: casual, but if you're coming from the rehearsal dinner, no need to change!All wedding guests 21+ can join us for a drink and some popcorn at Kingfish Pub in Oakland. We’ve rented a small private space in the back, which you can find by walking through the bar to the courtyard, then going up the stairs in the rear of the courtyard. Drinks will be available at the bar for purchase. Even though it’s a private space, please do not bring any outside alcohol into the bar **we will get fined if you do :((((((

guests arrive - 4:30pm

There is limited free parking at the venue as part of a public lot.&nbsp;There is also street parking available. You can take Uber or Lyft up to the venue if you don’t have your own vehicle. If you’re staying outside of Berkeley or Oakland, you may want to take BART to either the Macarthur or 19th St. Oakland stops before catching the ride share for a cheaper fare. The 88 bus does go directly to the venue and you can catch it from downtown Oakland.

Ceremony  -  5:30pm

Followed by a cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing.

Public transportation options are somewhat limited.Bonus activities nearby: Hong Kong East Ocean Seafood Restaurant for great Chinese food with a stunning view, Trader Vic's for a tiki bar experience (they claim the mai tai was invented there), the Public Market food hall, or Tipsy Putt for indoor mini golf. Please check carefully about availability dates and number of people before booking. Local advice: the most convenient places to stay for our wedding events would be in Berkeley, Oakland, or Emeryville. If you're willing to schlep a little bit, you can consider San Francisco or Alameda. Places like Marin, Richmond, Vallejo, San Jose, etc, might be too far and inconvenient for the wedding events.

Tilden Regional Park, Berkeley / Oakland hills.﻿ <a href="https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/inspiration-point-to-wildcat-peak" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Inspiration Point</a> is a favorite hike!The Albany Bulb, North Berkeley / Albany. A nice stroll along the bay with lots of cool DIY artwork and sculptures.Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park, Oakland. See redwoods and beautiful views, up in the Oakland hills. Here’s a possible <a href="https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/stream-trail-east-ridge-trail-canyon-trail" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">hike</a>.Briones Regional Park, Martinez. This one’s a further drive but very beautiful if you want to see those iconic rolling California hills. Here’s a possible <a href="https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/old-briones-road-valley-trail-briones-crest-mott-peak-black-oak" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">hike</a>.Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. We recommend renting a bike and taking in the sites, maybe all the way to the Great Highway (by the ocean).Dolores Park, San Francisco. The sunnier option as far as San Francisco parks go, close to the Mission and great people-watching!Lake Merritt, Oakland. Walk around, have a picnic, check out the farmer’s market on Saturday mornings!Want to just have a hang in a park? Willard Park and San Pablo Park are two of our favorites in Berkeley.

Berkeley Bowl, East or West--both in Berkeley. A Berkeley icon that just happens to be a grocery store. Check out the produce and bulk sections for exceptional varieties of all things!See a sports game: Giants (SF major league baseball), Ballers (Oakland minor league baseball), Bay FC (SF women’s soccer), Oakland Roots (Oakland men’s soccer). Sorry, basketball is out of season!Jaguar 2 Karaoke, Oakland. Rent a private room and sing your heart out. It's in the Temescal neighborhood, which is a great restaurant area.SF Pride, San Francisco. Usually occurs on the last weekend in June, although events are not updated right now. In 2026, you can probably find info at <a href="http://sfpride.org" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">sfpride.org</a>
