During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Matthew and Lilibeth met and had their first date at in-n-out. With many trips between Exeter and Fresno, they were soon celebrating their first month anniversary, then their second, and then a whole year. They shared a plethora of adventures - from going to Remier’s in Three Rivers, to exploring various trails in Yosemite, to a socially distanced outdoors Christmas.

Then in 2021, Matthew’s in-person college classes started again, and so a challenge of long-distance dating became the new reality. Dinners together turned into Zooms and in-person talks became phone calls. Through the challenges of distance, they grew closer together and learned the value of shared experiences & time.

On September 25, 2023 Matthew proposed to Lilibeth in Three Rivers. She said yes immediately. They were thrilled to celebrate their engagement with their families & close friends. And they are excited to share the wedding and festivities in Amatitán with you!
