Passports

Don't Forget Your Passport! Everyone planning to come must have a valid passport. Your passport must also have at least 6 months remaining beyond your departure flight from Mexico. If you show up to the airport without a valid passport, or if it expires in less than 6 months after your return flight, you may be denied entry onto the plane or into the country. The U.S. Passport Office currently states the standard turnaround time for a new application is 6 weeks, and expedited applications may be 2-4 weeks.

Airport Transportation

Don't Forget to Schedule Your Transportation in Mexico! At least 7 days prior to your stay, please call 1-888-987-7655 and ask to be transferred to the Transfers department or visit&nbsp;<a href="https://transfers.palaceresorts.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://transfers.palaceresorts.com/</a>&nbsp;and complete the form, no later than 48 hours before your check-in date. (The hotel you need to select on the online form is Moon Palace Cancun.) Make sure to have your hotel reservation number, arriving, and departing flight information in order to reserve transportation. If you're planning your stay for 4 or more nights, the transportation to and from the airport in Mexico will be provided to you for free, by the resort. If you're staying less than 4 nights, or you are not able to use the hotel's transportation service, transportation to and from the airport is approximately $60 round-trip. You can still book your transportation through the resort and will be charged at check-out or asked to pay with a credit card.

How much does a plane ticket to Mexico cost?

On average, a round-trip flight to Mexico can cost anywhere from $400 - $900. This depends on what airline you fly with, what days you fly, when you book, if you choose a flight with a layover, your luggage, and where you're flying from. December is considered a "high season" to fly. We recommend booking tickets in advance and looking into different airlines to get the best deal!

How to Book Your Stay

In order to book your stay, please Call 1-888-987-7655. Ask to be forwarded to the Wedding Department and let them know you are booking a room for the Riche/Soklaski Wedding.

Make sure to provide our Membership Number when booking. The Wedding Department is typically open, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM local time, Monday - Saturday.

Hotel Cost

Our group rate is $374/ night. This is an all-inclusive rate that includes a room for 2 adults. An additional adult staying in a standard room is $140.00/ night. There are a maximum of 4 people/room. This price includes all food, drinks, and all of the activities and amenities offered at the resort.

Room Block Dates

Our Room Block Dates are Thursday, December 1st, 2022 - Saturday, December 10th, 2022. If possible, we recommend staying for at least 4 nights so you can get the Palace Resort experience!

Would you like to share YOUR pictures of our big day?

For our wedding, we've opted out of a hashtag and signed up for a photo-sharing app called, The Guest!&nbsp;This app instantly shares your pictures with us and other guests! Our event on The Guest will be open for photo sharing from December 4th (7:00 AM) - December 6th (5:00 PM). This will allow guests to share photos from our rehearsal dinner, wedding day, and post-wedding brunch! The Guest is different than other photo sharing apps - during our events, photos taken on your phone can be automatically uploaded to our event page (if you choose to auto-share). Guests can pause sharing anytime once the event starts! There's also an option for guests to upload photos manually while sharing is off if they only want to share a select few photos or videos. If you change your mind or want to retake a photo, you can delete the photos that you've already uploaded too! We've heard that our wedding will go by so fast - we hope this will help to capture and keep some of the little, fun, and meaningful moments of our celebrations with our friends and family. Why a Destination Wedding?

Why not?! We fell in love with the idea of spending extended time celebrating our marriage with our closest friends &amp; family... in paradise! So, expect minimal stress, little hassle, full service 24/7, and most importantly... a really great time!

Why & How Did You Choose the Moon Palace?

Lily's family first visited a Palace Resort in 2009. They've been to several different locations since, and the Moon Palace is definitely the family favorite! The Moon Palace also has friendly staff, great food, beautiful grounds, and awesome amenities! (When she was younger, and her family would see people getting married at the resorts, Lily's family would make lots of jokes about her getting married down in Mexico one day!)

What Does "All Inclusive" Actually Include?

Once you enter the resort there is no charge for food, drink, and most other items. Period.&nbsp;"Enjoy unlimited food and beverage (top-shelf alcoholic or non), nightly entertainment, 24-hour room service, a liquor dispenser &amp; minibar in your guest room, and an abundance of other services &amp; amenities, without concern for cost. It’s all covered in the All-Inclusive Features, even all taxes and gratuities." As with any resort, some extended guest areas do have fees such as the Moon Grand section, spas, golf course, gift shops, and many off-site excursions. However, depending on your length of stay, Moon Palace shines by giving you resort credits to help offset these costs as well!

Do We Have to Book Through Your Link/ Event ID? 

In order to attend our wedding &amp; events, yes! You can book by calling 1-888-987-7655 and asking to speak with the Wedding Department. Please let them know you are booking a reservation for the Riche/ Soklaski Wedding and provide our&nbsp;Membership Number: 4008006. To achieve the lowest pricing for everyone, and guarantee rooms for all of our guests, we have negotiated a group contract and placed a deposit to hold rooms with the resort. If you do not book using our reservation number or link, we may not be able to add you to the guest lists due to resort security &amp; contractual regulations.

Can We Stay Offsite of at another Hotel? 

We don't recommend staying off the resort. Since Moon Palace is an all-inclusive resort, outside visitors are required to purchase (a fairly steep) per person entry fee and we cannot guarantee access to the wedding ceremony or reception for non-guests.

What's the Deal with the Tap Water?!

Moon Palace does have a water purification plant on the property, and their water is considered completely safe to consume! If you'd prefer, the resort also provides as much bottled water as you need! **Please remember to take precautions regarding water if you are away from the resort property. Only drink bottled water, be aware of ice, and even vegetables rinsed in local water. The guacamole off the resort DOES look really good... and it IS really good... but it's not worth the repercussions; TRUST ME - Lily.

Palace Resort's COVID-19 Response

There are no country-specific Covid-19 related restrictions for visitors arriving in Mexico.  Proof of a negative COVID test (for U.S. Citizens) is no longer required to re-enter the United States.   If you're interested in learning more about the Palace Resort's response to COVID-19, please visit their <a href="https:" target="_blank">COVID-19 and Travel Advisory</a> page.

Tips & Recommendations 

Download the Palace Resort App! Want to sit by the pool? If you want a great spot by the pool, head down early and claim your spot with some pool towels! (The best seats fill up quick!) Want to try a specific restaurant?  Make dinner reservations as soon as you decide on a place you'd like to try! You can make reservations by calling on the room phone or on the Palace App (after checking-in)! We recommend Momo (Hibachi/ Asian Cuisine) and Arrecifes (Brazilian Steakhouse).
