Our Wedding

They didn't even know each other existed until they both swiped right on Boo, a dating app. He lived in Statesville and she lived in Indian Trail so they decided to meet in the middle, in Huntersville. The restaurant they chose had very few vegetarian options, a problem for nervous Lily. Michael decided to make sure that she didn't go hungry. Not only did he bring her homemade Risotto, he also brought her an owlbear plushie and mini dice. We had both discussed out mutual love for dnd and Baldur's Gate III but this was a surprise for her. Their date ended with a hug and butterflies in each of their stomachs. They continued to have dates over Discord and in person. They went to each other's family's Thanksgiving and Christmas and talked every night. From the time the got off work until they went to work the next day they were on the phone, not always talking, but just being present. They started spending nights at each others house, it makes the hour one way drive after work more worth it, and making each other lunches and eating all their meals together. She bought the rings and he proposed in New York City in October of 2024, the night before her 21st birthday. They went to the Renaissance Festival four times that year and had a great time dressing up and enjoying the festivities with friends and just the two of them. And now they are excited to spend the rest of their lives together.

A good friend since high school, I am excited to have this man as my man of honor.

Who else but my quote unquote adopted brother to be my best man. We met in the darkest times for the both of us, and now have pushed through to the brightest. Hopefully I can get you a date here.

She may be my second cousin but she is really more like the sister I never had. From babysitting me when I was little, to standing by me on my wedding day, everything has come full circle.

The Artisan of the group. We met randomly in the cafeteria and like a lost puppy, he has been by my side.  I am ecstatic to have you in this leg of my life, and hope to get you there one day.

We have not known each other long, but we know each other through the trial of fire that is working as a CNA in a long term care facility.

We first met the second day of nursing school when Mrs. O thought she was me. We became quick friends and completed many assignments together, did our first clinicals together, and have studied together for nearly every exam since. From going to KPOT together to staying up until 11pm at night studying I am glad to have her as a friend and in my bridal party. We will always consider her our daughter even if she won't let us adopt her legally.

The Diversity Hire. Sylvia and Michael met in college at the gaming club and bonded over finding out the Kirby is a milenium old. Been by her side through college and weird people at Publix. Her and I met at Michael's birthday party when we first got together and have been friends since.

The newest member of my onterage, we've known each other for 5 years and formed one of the strongest bonds over fighting robots and city destroying lizards.

A family friend for more years than I remember, Tiffany has been a good friend I could count on a a big sister that I could talk to.

Slightly elevate your everyday wear or dress up in a costume and express yourself! Have fun with your outfit but please refrain from denim and wedding dresses. Other than that, wear whatever you feel most comfortable in or something to show off your nerdy side with Ren Fest galore.

We will try to accomodate people in our home if you need to travel from out of state, other options for overnight stays include Quality Inn Concord Kannapolis, Comfort Suites Concord Mills, and Embassy suites by Hilton to name a few. Staying near Concord Mills will give you a reasonably short drive to the festival grounds.

Travel

Unfortunately, Admission will be required to attend our wedding. It will likely be around $40 per adult ticket and $30 for children under 13 with free parking and a discount code provided by us. Tickets also sell out fast so we recommend buying tickets a month or two ahead of time. Festival traffic typically increases around 10 am so we suggest either come early or plan for a longer travel time. Feel free to dress up in renaissance attire or just plain church clothes, even something in-between is fine, feel free to be creative!
