What regional airport should I fly into?

1. Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) in Traverse City, MI is 1 hour 15 min (59 mi) to Gaylord, MI. Our #1 choice to fly into. Traverse City, aka TC, is one of the Bride's favorite cities to visit. We highly suggest a day trip or overnight stay in TC. 2. Pellston Airport (PLN) in Pellston, MI is 55 min (46 mi) to Gaylord, MI. Both airports are small and easy to navigate. Larger, budget friendly airports, but will have a longer drive time: 1. Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) is 3 hr 20 min (240 mi) to Gaylord, MI. 2. Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) is 2 hours 52 min (192 mi) to Gaylord, MI.

Are there local transportation services?

Yes, but only 1, Taxi 45. Taxi 45 is a small independently ran business. They may not be available between 3am-5am. Gaylord, MI is a small town with a population of 4,400. Unfortunately, we don't have Uber or Lyft in our town. If you are flying in, we highly suggest renting a car. Taxi 45 phone# (989)745-8150

No. We love little ones, but we are unable to accomodate children at our wedding. We kindly ask that you make arrangements for a babysitter.

Can I stay the night at Sojourn Lakeside Resort?

All the rooms are already booked for immediate family, the wedding party, and out-of-state family members. You can stay in a camper trailer—tents aren’t allowed. There are no hook-ups, but you’re welcome to bring a generator. Camper parking is in the far back corner of the parking lot. This is a resort, not a campground, the GM of the resort is willing to accomodate guests with campers. The total for 3 nights is $50. If you would like to utilize this option, please contact the bride so she can add your name and contact info to the camper list at the resort.
