Bozeman airport is the best option for guests flying in. There are many car rental companies available including: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Dollar, Hartz, Thrifty, and National Car Rental. You can access car rental information on the airport homepage, click on rental cars. Our wedding location is 88 miles away from the Bozeman airport and about an hour and a half drive. There are many options for accommodations in the Bozeman area if your flying in late or leaving early.

Old Kirby Place (the site of the wedding and reception) is 88 miles away from the Bozeman airport. It takes about 1.5 hours to 2 hours depending on the route you choose. Above is a map of going through Ennis, which is the fastest way. Ennis is a really neat town, if you need lunch be sure to stop at The Gravel Bar. Across the street is another great stop, Willie's Distillery. Also on this way is Norris Hot Springs, awesome hot springs that serves beer along with lunch items. From Ennis you will follow the Madison River to Old Kirby Place passing many fishing access with some great photo oppurtunities.

If you would like, you can get to Old Kirby Place by going through the Gallatin canyon and passing by the town of Big Sky. On this drive you follow the beautiful Gallatin River, the river that was filmed in A River Runs Through It. There are many hiking and fishing opportunities along with some spectacular scenery through out the canyon. Big Sky would be a fun stop as well. The resort operates the tram in the summer so you can ride to the top of lone peak. The views are amazing, you can see many mountain ranges including the Tetons. There are also some short easy hikes in town like Ousel Falls, which would be a nice leg stretcher. Beehive brewery is excellent to stop for a cold brew and there are many dining options available. Big horn sheep frequent the area and can be seen on the hillside just off the highway turnoff for Big Sky. After Big Sky you'll enter into Yellowstone National Park. There is not a gate or fee area on this stretch, you can just drive through. Mitch and I have seen a lot of wildlife on this stretch including bears. I highly recommend making a loop for the wedding so you can see a lot of scenery. Go the Ennis way one way and than the Big Sky way the other way.
