Lindsay and Troy met in Augusta, Georgia in August, 2016 and have been together pretty much every day since. Troy sang "Party in the USA" for karoake and Lindsay took notice of the rather embarrassing and not so great singing skills Troy had.

Troy secretly planned for Lindsay's friend and Bridesmaid, Margaret Blagg, to pick Lindsay up for a girls day date of lunch, a movie and manicures. Little did Lindsay know, Troy was planning an elaborate evening for her. She walked in the door to find rose petals and clues for a scavenger hunt/puzzle for Lindsay to follow. The path of rose petals and candles led Lindsay to each clue, filling in the blanks to the puzzle. When she reached the end of the line, Troy was waiting on his knee with ring in hand to propose to the love of his life.......of course she said YES!
