Do you have discounted lift tickets and rentals?

Yes! To secure your $35 lift tickets and $30 ski/snowboard rentals, navigate to our Travel & Stay page for more information.

You’re getting married ON TOP of the hill?

Yes! We really wanted the ceremony to be outside, and how cool of Crystal to allow us to make THIS happen! Unfortunately, there will be some rules of who will be able to attend. We have 18 chairs designated for immediate family. For anyone else who would like to attend, please have a lift ticket and with the proper equipment. And then, be prepared to join us the rest of the way down after the ceremony!!! Don’t worry about missing out! For those of you who don’t ski/board or deal with an outfit change… the ceremony will be live streamed in the cocktail hour area! And you should be able to watch us ride down after the ceremony for our “First Ride” together as a married couple!

How do I find where I'm supposed to go?

Please see the Travel & Stay page and navigate to the section titled 'Crystal Maps' for detailed instructions regarding Nordic center location, ski & snowboard trails, and welcome party/reception spaces.

Will there be snow for skiing & boarding at the end of March?

Absolutely! It might be wet and slushy but it’ll still be fun! The 23/24 season was one of the worst winters ever, yet Crystal was open through the first weekend of April (as per every year). So if they made it through a full season that year... This has been an awesome winter and Crystal has a massive base, so no one should be worried about the conditions!

You’re not having a wedding band OR a DJ?

Nope! Instead we booked a band called The Go Rounds! Check out their music, learn all of the lyrics, and come ready for an amazing show!

What if I don’t ski or snowboard?

Our first recommendation is *take a lesson!!* But if that’s not up your alley… there are TONS of other things to do at Crystal Mountain and near by. Please see the “Things To Do” Section for ideas! AND Rod would love to have people join him on the Art Walk Saturday around 10am while Lindsay is getting her hair & makeup done. Meet at the cross-country Nordic center at Crystal Mountain to grab your snowshoes. See Things to Do for more information.

Why don’t you have a normal registry?

First off, the best gift is your presence at our wedding weekend (which sounds cheesy…but it’s true)! Because we are older and already live together, we don’t need a lot of the normal things couples register for. However, if you insist… we have added a very few items to a registry. But honestly, we can be rather picky and would prefer to see / touch items in real life. So, another great idea is a gift card from one of our favorite local stores, such as: - Backcountry North - Fustini’s - Garden Goods - Culter’s (in Petoskey) - McGough’s - Poppy Things (in Sutton’s Bay) We also set up cash funds for: - outdoor spa area (hot tub, IR sauna, shower) - extendable dining room table & benches

No formal dress code?

Nope! No formal code. Wear what you feel amazing in! If you want to wear a tux or a sparkly evening dress, go for it! If you only have flannels and khakis in your closet, then rock that “up north formal” attire! Our only request is no jeans, sweatpants, tshirts, or hoodies. If we can’t wear them, you can’t either! LoL! BUT PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that this is northern Michigan in March. It could be 70° and sunny or 30mph winds and 6” inches of snow… or both in one weekend!!! So please check the weather (from multiple sources) before packing your bags!

Could outdoor plans change?

Absolutely! With this being at the end of the season and Mother Nature being unpredictable, anything can happen. So we all just have to go with the flow and trust in our amazing planner, Stacy from Juniper & Lace!

Will Izzo make an appearance?

Unfortunately, no. But you may see cut outs of his face somewhere.

Where were your engagement photos taken?

We asked Lina Robertson (Rod’s sister-in-law) to take our engagement photos! With the focus of wanting to showcase the beautiful nature we live around. The woodsy location is on our property! And the Lake Michigan spot is less than 10 minutes from our house! And yes, it was very cold by the water LoL!
