Ceremony & Reception

Sunlight Mountain Resort<a href="https://maps.google.com/?cid=13111728911548559182" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">10901 County Road 117, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601</a> Ceremony &amp; Reception: The ceremony will be outside during a warm part of the afternoon. The reception will be hosted outside. The resort is at nearly 8000 feet so bring a warm sweater for the evening when it cools down. Food &amp; Drinks: We will have appetizers, dinner, and an open bar. We're still working through the details, but we will accommodate any dietary restrictions, so please let us know if you have any.

The Courtyard Marriott Glenwood Springs is right in downtown Glenwood Springs. It is a 6-minute drive to the hot springs and has an indoor pool and a hot tub. Follow the link for the wedding room block. 

Courtyard by Marriott Glenwood Springs

This historic hotel is across the street from Glenwood Hot Springs! Built in 1893, this hotel has housed some famous people in the past including President Roosevelt when he was in office. This is actually the birth place of the teddy bear too! They offer packages that include hotel stay, hot springs, and the adventure park if interested in bundling the fun for the weekend!

Hotel Colorado

There is dry camping available in the lower parking lot of the resort, just below the venue. There is a small fee for camping and RVs. Let us know if you are interested in this option.

Dry Camping

Denver is about a three-hour drive away. Car rentals are easy and plentiful. Typically, the more economical option but a longer drive.

Denver International Airport

Eagle Regional Airport is a 1-hour drive from the venue. Rental cars are more limited, so we suggest booking them well in advance. Typically costs a little more than Denver, but is much less driving.

Eagle County Regional Airport

Grand Junction Airport is just over 1.5 hours from the venue. There should be plenty of rental car options here.

Grand Junction Regional Airport

We recommend renting a car from whatever airport youre flying into or driving if youre local. There will be ample parking at the venue and the condos on site. It is possible to take the Amtrak or Bustang from Denver or Grand Junction, but you will need transportation to the venue.

Aspen & Snowmass

Aspen is one of Colorado’s most iconic mountain towns. Equal parts luxury resort, outdoor playground, and arts destination. It’s surrounded by some of the most dramatic scenery in the state and offers everything from world-class hiking to high-end shopping and dining. Things to do:- Maroon Bells (arguably the most photographed spot in Colorado)- Hiking in Snowmass or Aspen Highlands- Scenic gondola ride on Silver Queen Gondola- Mountain biking &amp; trail running- Lunch in downtown Aspen- Art galleries + boutiques- Spa day at one of the resorts- Scenic drives through Independence Pass

Vail & Beaver Creek

Vail feels like a European alpine village tucked into the Rockies, with cobblestone streets, flower-filled balconies, and incredible mountain views. It is 1.5-2 hours from Glenwood Springs. Things to do:- Hiking in Vail Valley- White River National Forest trails- Ziplining or alpine coasters- Walk Vail Village (European-style town)- Gondola rides for panoramic views- Creekside dining and shopping- Betty Ford Alpine Gardens

Breckenridge & Summit County

Breckenridge is a historic mining town turned ski destination with a lively Main Street, colorful buildings, and endless outdoor activities. It’s a great mix of energetic and charming, with tons of dining, shopping, and scenic lake views nearby. It is 2-2.5 hours from Glenwood Springs. Things to do:- Alpine hiking &amp; mountain biking- Paddleboarding on Dillon Reservoir- Historic Breckenridge Main Street- Distillery &amp; brewery tours- Scenic drives around Lake Dillon- Easy lake walks and viewpoints

Palisade & Grand Junction

This area feels like Colorado’s hidden wine country — sunny, warm, and surrounded by red rock cliffs and vineyards. It’s a totally different vibe from the mountains and perfect for relaxed days of wine tasting, scenic drives, and patio lunches. It is about 1.25 hours from Glenwood Springs. Things to do:- Hiking in Colorado National Monument- Biking along the Colorado River- Rock climbing in desert canyons- Wine tasting in Palisade (tons of vineyards)- Peach orchards- Winery patios with mountain views

Denver & Boulder

Denver is Colorado’s cultural hub. Big city energy with mountain views. You’ll find professional sports, museums, concerts, great shopping, and some of the best food in the state. Denver is 3 hours from Glenwood Springs. Things to do:- Hiking in Boulder’s Flatirons- Red Rocks Amphitheatre hikes + concerts- Denver museums (Art Museum, Nature &amp; Science)- RiNo &amp; LoHi neighborhoods (food + breweries)- Pearl Street Mall in Boulder

Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the most beautiful places in the entire state — alpine lakes, wildlife, and jaw-dropping mountain views. Estes Park is the gateway town and a perfect home base for exploring. It is 3.5 hours from Glenwood Springs and 1.5 hours from Denver. *Timed Entry Reservation Required Things to do:- Alpine hiking &amp; wildlife viewing- Trail Ridge Road (highest paved road in the U.S.)- Bear Lake &amp; Emerald Lake trails- Scenic drives- Picnic overlooks- Easy lake walks- Photography &amp; wildlife spotting

Fort Collins

Our home and our favorite place!! Fort Collins is a fun town with a vibrant craft beer scene and an adorable historic downtown. It’s full of personality, great patios, and easy access to hiking and river activities. It is 1-1.15 hours from Denver. Things to do:- Hiking in Horsetooth Reservoir &amp; Horsetooth Rock- Kayaking or paddleboarding at Horsetooth- Mountain biking and trail running in the foothills- Day trips to Lory State Park and Cache la Poudre River- Fly fishing or tubing on the Poudre River- Old Town Fort Collins (super cute historic downtown)- Brewery hopping — New Belgium, Odell, Funkwerks, etc.- Coffee shops, bookstores, and local boutiques- Easy scenic walks around City Park or CSU campus- Patio dining and live music in Old Town
