We recommend flying into São Paulo Airport (GRU) instead of Rio de Janeiro airport (GIG). The drive from São Paulo is smoother with less traffic and there are more flight options available, often at more affordable rates.

If you are not familiar with driving in South America, we do not recommend renting a car. Instead, use a transfer service.

After booking your flight, please share your flight details with us. If interested, we will try to coordinate group transportation with other guests arriving at similar times to help reduce costs or you can book a private transfer using the information below.

Private transfer from São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro to Paraty (approx. 4 hour drive):

Airport Taxi - Guarucoop: The cost for a private transfer is approx. $200. Official airport taxi with cars and vans available. Proceed to the Guarucoop counter after customs and getting your bags in the Arrival halls of all terminals. For more information, click here.

We kindly request guests stay at Pousada do Sandi (Pousada meaning hotel). If you have any questions about Sandi Hotel or prefer to explore other stay options, please reach out to Kevin or Lindsey for assistance.

The hotel has a room block with special rates until the end of February. Because the rooms are blocked, you will not see any rooms available on the hotel's website during for the dates of the wedding. You can find a breakdown of the rates here per day along with descriptions for each room. Once you have selected a room, please reach out to Kevin or Lindsey so we can help book your room on your behalf. (Bookings cannot be made through the website).

Depending on your travel plans, we recommend booking Friday, Aug 29, Saturday, Aug 30, and Sunday, Aug 31 at a minimum by the end of February even if you do not have your flight booked yet. You can always add extra days to your reservation as needed. Please note: the rooms are non-refundable. All rooms have air conditioning.
