Eastern Market is a large market on Capitol Hill with a large variety of vendors selling food, art, jewelry and other nifty items. EM also has a plethora of dining options and is a great way to spend a lazy Saturday morning pre-wedding or Sunday morning post-wedding.
The Smithsonians remain open on weekends and some of our favorites are Air and Space; American History; and the National Archives where, next to the Bible and lyrics to "Ain't too Proud to Beg," the most important words in human history are on display (the Declaration of Independence and Constitution, obviously).
Ice Cream Jubilee, which is next to District Winery, has ice cream that you want to eat in any weather. We highly recommend this for satisfying any sweet tooth.

Bluejacket is a local brewery with 20-something beers made in-house and on tap at any time, and boasts some pretty unique and funky flavors that change regularly with seasons and whims of staff.
