We have grown up in the same area in Washington and attended the same schools. However, Rodric was one year ahead in school so our paths did not cross often. We had a mutual friend in Bethany Stave (Steele) and knew each other from afar.

We ran into each other at Move-In Day at Biola University and quickly became friends. Becoming friends and growing closer was the best decision we have made! It has led to countless laughs and adventures together. We can't wait for the adventure to continue with married life!

The proposal was intimate, magical, and perfect. During Christmas break of our senior year at Biola, Rodric stayed in California and I flew home to Washington. One week before Rodric was supposed to come home to visit, my best friend Megan (maid of honor) asked to go out on a girl's night. Megan picked me up and said we would have dinner at a new place. We arrived in Snohomish, Washington at the beautiful Columbia Winery. It was dark, but as we walked towards the door Rodric's roommate Jordan walked out of the enclosed garden. I was absolutely surprised and confused, but soon figured out what was going on. As we walked into the garden, there was a beautiful walkway lit by candles. At the end of a walkway was a a book of pictures of Rodric and I, and letters that he had written. When I finished reading, Rodric came out and popped the question! He wasn't on his knee long because I didn't have to think about my answer! As you can tell, the answer was YES!
