Once upon a time in a far-off land called Burrillville, Rhode Island, one 8th grader named Genna asked another 8th grader named Megh (who was the new girl at school) to join their lunch table. The year was 2005.
The two girls were instantly best friends, practically sisters. And it was this moment that set off a cascade of events, leading to the friendship and eventual relationship of their two younger siblings, Ryan and Lindsey.
Megh, Genna, Ryan and Lindsey all had summer jobs at Spring Lake Beach throughout their high school and college years. Ryan and Lindsey grew to be great friends over this time, but it wasn't until 2016 that Ryan finally mustered up the courage to ask Lindsey out.
As the great American pop icon Pat Benatar once sang "love is a battlefield". Ryan took this to heart in his tactic to ask Lindsey out, preferring to take the classic run-and-gun approach used by our revolutionary forefathers (aka, ask her out, forget to tell her when and where, and run away quickly).
Lindsey had to chase him down to figure out the details, but once she did, the rest, as they say, was history.
Ryan and Lindsey moved in together in 2018, adopted two rescue pups, and eventually saved up enough to buy their own home in 2021. It was in September of 2022, on a cool fall morning atop a beautiful and peaceful mountain in southern Vermont, that Ryan asked Lindsey to marry him.
Ryan and Lindsey are counting down the days until "I do" and cannot wait to celebrate with all their closest family and friends on December 16th! And after that, happily ever after.
