As all good loves stories start these days, Alex and Lindsey met on a dating app. Lindsey had only recently moved to the area when she had matched with Alex on Bumble. Lindsey, naturally, was late to their first date. Although Alex was there early, he only gave the indication that he was wearing "Flannel" at the bar. Given it was Montana in the winter time, that was not a helpful identifier, but Lindsey sat down with the first guy that responded to " Alex?" at the bar. Rumor has it, that was the wrong 'Alex' who she was supposed to have a date with that night but fortunately she chose to sit with the better looking man. Nonetheless, the night went on and the two stayed out talking, drinking, and playing the worst game of pool the world has seen.

For the next week, the two had met up with each other everyday since the day they met. Christmas vacation was right around the corner and Alex had not planned to meet such an incredible woman so he had already agreed to be home in Nebraska with his family. However, that did not stop them from video chatting everyday he was home into the early hours of the next day. Lindsey spent her first Christmas in Montana alone but was reasured by Alex that was the only holiday they would spend apart.

Alex cut his Nebraska trip early and drove 17hrs straight back to Montana to spend New Years Eve together. They watched fireworks, spent time with friends, and welcomed not only a New Year but a new chapter of life together.
