Nestled in Rincon's Ensenada Hills is one of the most popular brunch spots in area, The English Rose!
The menu includes local cuisine as well as English and American dishes, plus vegan and vegetarian alternatives. Our favorites are the hot mushroom toast and the house Bloody Mary. We also love that all their breads are homemade.
The English Rose is also a guesthouse, and diners who aren't staying at the property can purchase a day pass to enjoy the pool before or after lunch. If you want to taste what all the fuss is about, be sure to make a reservation.
Open 7 days a week serving the all-day menu.

Every weekend, the mountain town of Cayey receives droves of visitors, both locals and tourists, that come to enjoy traditional food, live music and dancing, and a party atmosphere in an area known as Guavate. Drive along Route 184 up the mountain where you'll find lechonera after lechonera serving slow-roasted whole pork (also chicken), heaping portions of rice and pigeon peas, yuca al mojo, mofongo, and other traditional Puerto Rican dishes. The lechón asado was declared a Puerto Rican gastronomic heritage.
What is Lechón?: Lechón means roasted whole pork, which is cooked for hours over hot coals or an open flame, allowing the skin to get crispy while the meat remains tender and juicy. This is a dish you can typically only get in the country side of Puerto Rico and it becomes more prevalent during the holiday season.
To make the most of your day in Guavate, try to arrive before noon, especially on weekends because in the afternoon the traffic going up Guavate becomes gridlocked. The first lechonera you'll come across when you get off the highway is Lechonera Los Amigos and next door is Café Prieto, a charming coffee shop with a roofed terrace overlooking a stream.
Head up the mountain and you'll immediately come across numerous other lechoneras like El Mojito, Doctor Lechon, Lechonera Los Pinos, El Rancho Nuevo, and many more. The higher up the mountain, the more likely the restaurant will have a view of the Caribe State Forest (El Rancho Original and Los Pinos both do).
Which is the best? Depends on who you ask since every local has their particular favorite. Some people treat this road trip like a chinchorreo (bar hop) and sample a little bit of whatever looks good at different places. While the weekends tend to be livelier (and crowded) since most of the live bands play on Saturdays and Sundays, it's possible to have a great meal during the week since the more popular lechoneras are open seven days a week.
Hit the town’s art walk to explore an emerging scene with its own distinct style. Every Thursday evening, the people come together and hold a small festival to celebrate local culture and tropical ambiance.
The town’s square is packed with handcrafts, food trucks, live music, and more. Expect to swing your hips to the rhythm of lively music and Caribbean sounds.
Art Galleries There are various small art galleries and souvenir shops set around the town that feature unique items you might want to bring home. Places like Secret Garden Art Gallery and Galeria Exodo exhibit paintings and crafts by local artists.
A divine meal in a Caribbean paradise!

Rincón is also known as “the town of beautiful sunsets” and there is no better way to witness this magical and spectacular time than from the Katarina. A sunset cruise seems only natural for us! It is a beautiful and relaxing way to say farewell to another wonderful day in paradise. The beautiful colors of the sunset blend extraordinarily well with the deep blue of the ocean. A perfect setting for taking unforgettable pictures, sharing a conversation, and having cocktails.
The Sunset Cruise leaves at different times depending on the season. Generally, around 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm. sail starts in the West Coast of Rincón, as far north as the surf spot Rivermouth on the north coast of the Rincón/Aguada border, and as far south as Tres Hermanos beach in Añasco Bay. We sail past every surf spot in the Rincón area and can wave at friends we know. The view of the lighthouse is fantastic and the mountain view from the sea is a breathtaking experience.

The Río Camuy Cave Park is located in Puerto Rico's northwestern region, and it covers three towns: Camuy, Hatillo, and Lares. You'll find the main entrance to the park in the Quebrada area of Camuy.
The caverns are part of an extensive network of natural limestone caves and underground waterways carved out by the Río Camuy, the third-largest underground river in the world. While the cave system was officially discovered in 1958, archeological evidence shows that the caves were explored hundreds of years ago by the Island's indigenous inhabitants. Over 10 miles of caverns, 220 caves, and 17 entrances to the Camuy cave system have been mapped. However, this is only a fraction of the entire system, which many experts believe still holds another 800 caves. Only a small part of the complex is open to the public and reservations are required.
