Our Main Inn is located directly across the street from the Hartley Mason Reserve and Harbor Beach. Home to our Front Desk, 1637 Ocean View dining room, Ship’s Cellar Pub and Yorkshire Ballroom. 20 Guest Rooms are located in our Main Inn and are comprised of four Ocean View Deck Rooms located on the 2nd level that offer Harbor and Beach views, and our Country Inn Rooms; small and elegantly appointed rooms on our 2nd and 3rd levels. All Main Inn guest rooms are all individually decorated and have either one Queen or one King Bed. All guest have access to Harbor Beach and as well as waterfront recreational access. Due to the age and historic nature of our buildings there are no elevators.

Located on the first floor of our Main Inn is our Ocean view dining room, and historic Cabin Room dating to 1637. The “Cabin Room” was floated over from the Isles of Shoals and rebuilt where it stands today. Relax and enjoy a morning coffee or evening cocktail by the cozy fireplace at the heart of the room. Located on the street level or “down below” is our Ship’s Cellar Pub. Serving the same great menu as our 1637 in a one of a kind woodworking masterpiece built to resemble the “down below” of a fine Newport Sailing Vessel.

Once home to Chicago lumber baron and Hamilton College trustee Alexander Coburn Soper and his wife Mollie Eliza Pope for its first forty years, this 1880s summer cottage estate became the 5th York Historical Society Decorator Showcase in 1994, open to the public for tours. It began operating as a three room B&B soon afterwards. Andy & Su Wetzel purchased the inn in 2005.
