Liam and Lisa met during social interaction during a college history class. He arranged his facial features to appear friendly. She smiled back. They became acquainted. Each harbored secret admirations for the other, although nothing came of this attraction until years later. During this time, they would run into each other around town, but things really took off when they ran into each other at the Anchorage Rock Gym.

Lisa was climbing and minding her own business when Liam noticed her out of the corner of his eye. He approached her and quickly got her number to… climb in the future. They started getting together to climb regularly over the next few weeks.

Liam worked up his courage and low key asked Lisa to accompany him to an upcoming rock climbing film at the hip, local restaurant theatre, Bear Tooth Theaterpub. Unfortunately, Lisa already had plans for that evening and turned him down. (She was not aware that she was being asked out on a date.)

That did not deter fair Liam. He continued to pursue climbing sessions with Lisa over the next few weeks. During this time, they ended up chatting about Lisa turning Liam down for a date. She told him that she did not know that he was asking for a date and that she would absolutely go out with him. She asked him to ask her again.

He did… she said yes. They have been together ever since. They decided it would be mutually beneficial to enter into a relationship. They made sure to be seen at all the local fast food franchises together.
